Spent Mother’s Day afternoon with Sharon and Dash out at our homesite and house under construction. A twelve pack of Heineken and the anticipation of the completed project kept us going for many hours! Here are a few pics of the house from our afternoon.

Howell Island on the Missouri River
Sharon and I took Dash out to Howell Island today for a nice long walk.., problem was that the river was high from the recent rains and the walkway from the mainland to Howell Island was washed out and the current raging. Below are some pictures from our hike.

Free dry dock.., chain it to a tree down by the river!

Dash against the green, green grass.

Sharon taking pictures with her iPhone while Dash wanders about.., this is a mulching operation that gets their raw material from the river.
Preston Woods Trail – New Homesite
Looking forward to late June.., when our new home should be ready to move in to. The foundation has just been completed and framing should start in early April.
I just got my first iPad with the release of the third generation.., and have been using it to take photos, edit them in NIK’s Snapseed for iPad and upload them through the WordPress App for iPad. Kinda nifty.
Here are a few pics…,
iPad – Arriving today!
I skipped the original iPad and the iPad 2.., but I jumped on this latest iteration and ordered online directly from Apple when it was announced. It is scheduled to be delivered today by 3:00 PM CT…, and that only leaves 2 more hours for Mr. FedEx to get it here on time. And since a signature is required.., I’m a prisoner until it gets here. At lease there is some good basketball on TV today. GO MIZZOU!!! and SLU!!
Back at it..,
Sharon and I have been busy the past few weeks selling our home, packing and moving into a our new temporary digs. ;o)
Unfortunately, that also meant I didn’t get out shooting much either. Hopefully all of that has changed. Dash and I went to Castlewood State Park yesterday to burn off some energy.., as Dash hadn’t been getting the attention and exercise that he needs either.
We played Frisbee and met another Weimeraner and played for another half hour or so. We both had fun and are looking forward to living so close to this beautiful park.

Old Chain of Rocks Bridge and Alton, IL
Sharon and I headed out to the Old Chain of Rocks Bridge and then headed North to Alton to see if we could spot any Eagles. We brought Dash along with us too. Dash is a Weimeraner and our buddy. We didn’t spot an eagles, but we made the best of it. The wind was gusty and the temperature cool.., but the sun was out and we all had a good time.

Frozen Water – CC Park – St. Louis, MO
Dash and I had to make a quick exit this morning.., somebody was coming by at 9:30am this morning for a second showing! That’s exciting.., the sooner we can sell this house the closer Dash and I are to a new home studio ;o) It won’t be easy getting there.., but selling this place is a huge and necessary first step.
Anyway.., Dash and I drove around a bit and stopped at one of our favorite hang-outs.., Creve Coeur Park. The waterfall is frozen and there is still a bit of snow on the ground. Dash had fun, though his feets got a bit cold, I’m sure. He’s a big-boy now.., he can handle it. Dash will be 3 in a few weeks.
