Sharon and I have been busy the past few weeks selling our home, packing and moving into a our new temporary digs. ;o)

Unfortunately, that also meant I didn’t get out shooting much either. Hopefully all of that has changed. Dash and I went to Castlewood State Park yesterday to burn off some energy.., as Dash hadn’t been getting the attention and exercise that he needs either.

We played Frisbee and met another Weimeraner and played for another half hour or so. We both had fun and are looking forward to living so close to this beautiful park. )

Old Chain of Rocks Bridge and Alton, IL

Sharon and I headed out to the Old Chain of Rocks Bridge and then headed North to Alton to see if we could spot any Eagles. We brought Dash along with us too. Dash is a Weimeraner and our buddy. We didn’t spot an eagles, but we made the best of it. The wind was gusty and the temperature cool.., but the sun was out and we all had a good time.

Dash and I had to make a quick exit this morning.., somebody was coming by at 9:30am this morning for a second showing! That’s exciting.., the sooner we can sell this house the closer Dash and I are to a new home studio ;o) It won’t be easy getting there.., but selling this place is a huge and necessary first step.

Anyway.., Dash and I drove around a bit and stopped at one of our favorite hang-outs.., Creve Coeur Park. The waterfall is frozen and there is still a bit of snow on the ground. Dash had fun, though his feets got a bit cold, I’m sure. He’s a big-boy now.., he can handle it. Dash will be 3 in a few weeks.

Flower Power

Saturday morning.., goofing around. Sipping some coffee and snapping a few photos of the dying flowers before the rain sets in for the rest of the day. My color balance was off.., but rather than just correct it.., I pulled it the other way and changed this yellow flower to a glowing white and created an interesting graphic. Well.., at least I thought it was at the time.., I’ll see what I think next week after it bakes in for a bit. God bless.

Missouri Botanical Gardens

Sharon, Livi and I went to the Missouri Botanical Gardens this afternoon. Would have been a great day but we got a late start and only got about 30 minutes in before the Gardens closed. But 30 minutes is 30 minutes and I was able to grab a few shots before heading out.

Frisbee Golf at the Park

Took Dash up to Creve Couer Park for a run and brought my camera along.., not much happening but figured I’d capture something… An Autumn scene with the Frisbee Golf baskets at the park? Nobody was out playing.., I think it was probably during ‘rush-hour’.., and most folks were on the road.., but that gives Dash plenty of room to run and roam. Anyway.., nothing too exciting here. Plotting out my next project.., still working on some sort of multiple exposure self-potrait using the fish-eye. More to come on that.., take care and God Bless.

Back Glass iPhone 4

Well I shattered the back glass on my iPhone 4.., you’d of thought I would have checked with Apple first, but I figured they would be too expensive so I ordered a replacement on Ifixit.com for $80. Well.,, turns out Apple will replace it for only $30!
So.., I called Ifixit and complained and got an RA# to return it and made an appointment at The Apple Store to get a new back glass panel.
I just left the store w/o a new glass panel because I still have my Ifixit panel installed and I have to give Apple my old panel to get the $30 replacement!! Arggh!!
Luckily I still have it.,, so I guess I’ll be back tomorrow with shattered glass in hand to get this taken care of once and for all.., hopefully someone out there has learned something from my experience
FYI – new iPhone 4s was available and the customer service is top notch

Missouri Mines Historical Site

During our trek through the Missouri Southeast State Parks, we stopped in at this old abandoned mine which is part of the Missouri State Parks Historical sites. It was a ghost town.., but some really great photo ops. We didn’t spend a lot of time.., as we were headed to Hawn State Park for some hiking.., but I’ll go back some day.., it was just way too cool.
